The Yamaha PSR-SX620 is a versatile arranger workstation and a powerful arranger keyboard for stage, rehearsal room, home studio and creative music-making. With 61 velocity-sensitive keys, 1.002 instrument sounds plus 51 Drum/SFX kits, 128-note polyphony and 450 automatic accompaniment styles, this digital workstation provides an extensive sonic foundation for a wide range of musical genres. Two freely assignable Live Control knobs, a joystick controller, Chord Looper, Smart Chord and Multi Pads enable hands-on performance control. Bluetooth Audio, USB Audio, an integrated audio recorder and the powerful speaker system with 15 Watt + 15 Watt make the PSR-SX620 flexible for practice, live use and music production.

Expressive Sounds and Dynamic Styles

The AWM Stereo Sampling sound engine delivers detailed instrument timbres and high musical versatility. The presets include 137 S.Articulation! Voices, which reproduce the characteristic articulations of acoustic instruments with particular authenticity, as well as 34 MegaVoice sounds. In total, 1.002 Voices, 51 Drum/SFX kits and an additional 480 XG Voices are available. With 450 Styles—including 416 Pro Styles, 33 Session Styles and 1 Free Play Style—you get automatic accompaniments for many genres. Four One Touch Settings per Style provide quick access to matching sound and performance settings.

Direct Control for Live Playing and Sound Design

The redesigned control panel supports a fast, intuitive workflow. Two assignable Live Control knobs allow real-time control of tone, effects and style parameters. The joystick gives you especially direct control over pitch and modulation, letting you add dynamic nuance to your playing. The 4.3" TFT color display with 480 x 272 pixels presents sounds, styles and settings clearly. Extensive reverb, chorus, DSP, EQ and compressor functions offer additional options for precise sound design.

Chord Looper, Smart Chord and Multi Pads

With the Chord Looper you can record and play back chord progressions in real time. Up to eight chord sequences can be stored per bank, so your left hand is free for melodies, piano passages or other performance tasks. Smart Chord produces full, appropriate chords from a single root note, making it easier to create professional backing arrangements. In addition, 226 Multi Pad banks with four pads each are available. Audio Link also lets you use your own WAV files for custom samples and performance elements.

Powerful Sound with Integrated BassPort

The newly developed speaker system combines two 12 cm speakers with an amplifier output of 15 Watt + 15 Watt. An integrated BassPort, an enlarged internal resonance chamber and a forward-facing bass-reflex design support powerful and balanced reproduction of low frequencies. Separate line outputs are available for connection to external active speakers or a PA system. The optimized output circuitry ensures a clean, punchy audio signal for live performances, rehearsals and recordings.

Bluetooth, USB and Recording

Bluetooth 5.0 Audio enables wireless streaming of music from compatible smartphones, tablets or other playback devices, so you can play along with songs directly through the instrument. USB TO HOST with USB Type-C and USB TO DEVICE with USB Type-A expand connectivity options for computers and USB storage devices. The built-in USB audio interface operates at 44.1 kHz, 16 bit, stereo. The audio recorder supports WAV recordings with a maximum recording length of 80 minutes per song. MIDI song recording, time stretch, pitch shift and vocal cancel are also available.

Expandable Music Workstation

For additional sounds and styles, the PSR-SX620 supports Yamaha Expansion Packs and offers around 380 MB of storage for Expansion Voices. The EXPANSION EXPLORER app makes it easy to find, manage and install new expansion content on compatible platforms. With the MIDI Song to Style application, standard MIDI files can also be converted into playable styles with intros, endings, variations and fill-ins. This lets you adapt the arranger workstation flexibly to your repertoire and personal musical style.
