DiMarzio D Activator For The John 5 Sound

Two DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers form the tonal center of the instrument. The high-output pickups sit at the neck and bridge and deliver the punchy foundation for heavily distorted tones, fast runs and precise riffs. Their tight low end and pronounced clarity suit John 5's playing, where single notes and attacks must remain clearly audible even under heavy distortion. The control concept remains deliberately pared down: a single master volume and a 3-way switch keep the operation focused on the essentials.

Floyd Rose And Kill Switch As Central Tools

The decisive difference to a traditionally equipped Telecaster is the Floyd Rose FRTS2000 double-locking 2-point tremolo. It unlocks extreme pitch effects, dive bombs and expressive tremolo work, turning the Phantom Telecaster into an instrument that goes far beyond classic Telecaster playing. The Floyd Rose Special locking nut is part of the double-locking concept. The electronics are complemented by a separate kill switch that instantly interrupts the output signal. Designed For Fast, Direct Playability

The solid Nyatoh body is paired with a bolt-on maple neck in the John 5–specific Medium C profile. Unlike the Ghost version, this model features a laurel fretboard with a 12" radius. Together with the narrow-tall frets, this results in a distinctly modern orientation that particularly benefits fast runs, bendings and technically demanding lead passages. The classic Fender 25.5" scale preserves the familiar basic feel of a Telecaster.
