Fender John 5 Ghost Telecaster Arctic White

John 5 Ghost Telecaster - Uncompromising Signature Tele!

The Fender John 5 Ghost Telecaster blends the Telecaster's classic concept with a specification tailored specifically for John 5. The American guitarist has been closely associated with this guitar type for decades, making a name for himself as a sought-after session player and through his work with David Lee Roth, Rob Zombie and Mötley Crüe. His signature model retains the Telecaster's straightforward DNA but interprets it in a distinctly more modern way, aimed at punchy rock and high-gain tones.

DiMarzio D Activator For Powerful High-Gain Sounds

At the heart of the electronics are two DiMarzio D Activator humbuckers in the neck and bridge. These high-output pickups are voiced for a tight low end, strong presence and clear articulation. That makes the pickup configuration ideal for John 5's playing—between precise riffs, fast lead passages and massive distorted sounds. A 3-way switch selects the pickups, while the intentionally simplified control layout with a single master volume knob underscores the guitar's direct character.

Kill Switch For Rhythmic Effects

A defining detail of the Ghost Telecaster is the dedicated kill switch. It lets you interrupt the output instantly for hard rhythmic stutter effects or accented passages. Instead of an extensive classic Telecaster control setup, the instrument focuses on a few controls that fit John 5's modern interpretation of the model.

Telecaster Foundation With Distinct Character

The solid Nyatoh body meets a bolt-on maple neck with a Custom John 5 Medium C profile. The maple fretboard has a 9.5" radius and, together with the narrow-tall frets, provides a modern yet unmistakably Fender playing feel. Red dot inlays and red side dots add targeted visual accents, while the matching headstock front and the single-ply mirror pickguard continue the distinctive signature look.

Hardtail Concept and Locking Tuners

The fixed 6-saddle Tele bridge deliberately forgoes a tremolo system, reinforcing the guitar's straightforward concept. Deluxe cast/sealed locking tuners complement the hardware and make string changes quick and easy. A signature neck plate further highlights the collaboration with John 5 and completes a Telecaster that doesn't try to reproduce historical specs but evolves the familiar Fender concept for an independent modern rock player.
