The New Standard!
With two possible pickup configurations, a 5-way switch, and the passive Focus Switch boost, the new Revstar Standard is all about versatility. This Revstar Standard features P90 pickups and a 5-way switch, along with the Focus Switch and a special Racing Tailpiece.
Chambered Body with Acoustic Design
The Revstar Standard guitars feature a chambered body. These chambers shape the tone and improve balance. The carbon rods in the neck enhance vibration transfer.
5-Way Switch
Using the same 5-way switch as the Revstar Professional, the slight phase shift in positions 2 and 4 brings fresh dynamics to the familiar intermediate settings.
Focus Switch
The push/pull tone pot activates a passive boost that delivers an effect similar to "hotter" pickups: darker highs, more pronounced mids and bass, and a more assertive tonal character.
Pickups
The RSS20 and RSS20L come equipped with humbuckers; the RSS20 is also available with P90 pickups. All pickups are specially developed by Yamaha and use Alnico V magnets for a powerful sound.
