There's nothing to grip, it's a slide box.
After assembly, you can adjust the fret purity with the "bridge screws" by moving them very slightly (flagolet tone 12th fret).
And if you press too hard when sliding, you may detune too much.
That was a hint for beginners.
I will glue small protective corners on the corners. For me, the enclosed slide fits perfectly on my ring finger. Approx. 20mm inside. Possibly look around for a suitable one!!!
