The Player II Stratocaster embodies timeless Fender charm with its world-famous contours, while under the hood it's thoroughly modern. Every detail is optimized for fluid playability. The neck in a Modern C profile with a silky satin urethane back finish carries a maple or rosewood slab fingerboard with a 9.5" (241 mm) radius, gently rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The body is available in classic alder, chambered ash or chambered mahogany. For finishes you can choose between the popular timeless Fender finishes and brand-new historical vintage colors pulled fresh from the archive.
The Player Series Alnico V Strat single-coils deliver crystal-clear highs, musical mids and snappy lows. The 5-way blade switch lets you combine the pickups into different configurations for practically endless tonal variety — from the singing, clean tones of the neck pickup to the gutsy bite of the bridge pickup. The strings run over a synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge. ClassicGear tuners keep the instrument in tune.
