The Player II Stratocaster wears timeless Fender charm in its famous curves, but under the hood it’s thoroughly modern. Every detail is optimized for fluid playability. The neck features a modern C profile with a silky-satin urethane back finish and a maple or rosewood slab fretboard with a 9.5" radius, softly rounded edges and 22 medium-jumbo frets. The body is available in classic alder, chambered ash or chambered mahogany. For finishes you can choose between the beloved timeless Fender finishes and brand-new historically inspired vintage colors pulled straight from the archive.
The Player Series Alnico V Strat single-coils deliver glass-clear highs, musical mids and punchy lows. The 5-way blade switch lets you combine the pickups into different configurations for practically endless tonal variety—from the singing cleans of the neck pickup to the gritty bite of the bridge pickup. The strings pass over a synchronized 2-point tremolo bridge. ClassicGear tuners keep the tuning stable.
