The potentiometers on the bass don't seem to be quite straight, but they can be operated - as it should be - without cracking or crackling. The function is 100% fulfilled.
The strap, which comes with it does its job, but rubs me after some time on the neck ... maybe I have it wrong adjusted (from the length), but I think I will get me to another leather strap.
The gigbag has a small pocket in the front, where you can put strings, picks and so on. There's not too much space and the gigbag doesn't really protect against shocks (do gigbags do that at all?).
The included amp is nice for a start. It has 3 controls for treble, mid and bass. It does its job, but good is something else. For the total price but also really okay.
For this price, the sets are perfectly fine and the only reason why the set didn't get 5 stars is that the bass doesn't sound completely clean in headphone mode in my opinion. But I also have to say that I am NOT a bass expert.... not yet ;-)
The bass comes untuned, of course. If necessary, you should think about it when ordering and order a tuner with...
In sum, I would buy this set again. For this price, a beginner makes in any case nothing wrong in my eyes.
Addendum:
I've now clamped an effects unit between the bass and headphones for nighttime practice to just not have to fire up the big amp (but loop the bass directly through for practice - so no effects) and have to say... it sounds really good to me with it. Also in the headphones.
