Your Drum Kit in Studio Quality!
EAD (Electronic Acoustic Drum) is a unique system from Yamaha that gives acoustic drum kits electronic expansion options. By simply attaching a special sensor with two microphone capsules and a trigger to your bass drum, you can capture the sound of your entire kit in high-quality stereo and combine it with built-in effects and sound sources to achieve greater expressive power.
The EAD50 is the latest high-end model and further evolves the EAD concept. It captures and processes your acoustic sound with the utmost precision and seamlessly blends it with electronic sources to create a true hybrid drumming experience.
Thanks to real-time control and intuitive operation, drummers can craft their own sound in professional quality while they play — on stage, in the studio, during lessons, rehearsals, or while streaming.
From pro to advanced hobbyist — with the EAD50 any drummer can achieve their ideal sound.
Expand Your Activities and Have More Fun
Record multitrack audio over USB, sample or loop your own playing, and connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to work seamlessly with the EAD Touch app and Rec'n'Share.
It supports not only live PA operation but also practicing at home, online lessons, studio recordings, creating social-media content, workshops and seminars with equal flexibility.
The studio-quality preamp and the advanced digital engine of the EAD50 refine these signals into a clear, powerful mix suited to any PA environment. By integrating additional microphones, triggers, effects, mixer functions and more into a compact unit, the EAD50 significantly reduces setup complexity and gives drummers stable, reliable control over their sound.
The high-quality condenser microphone of the DSU50 with specially matched capsules and FET, combined with its highly precise kick trigger, captures your entire kit from a single point with clear stereo imaging and precise low-frequency articulation.
