With its D Amara scale, a tuning frequency of 440 Hz and the elegant matte-gold finish, this stainless steel handpan combines professional sound quality with an attractive appearance. Whether for intuitive playing, meditation or intricate melodies: the Sela Harmony D Amara opens up numerous musical possibilities.

D Amara With Twelve Harmonically Tuned Tone Fields

The D Amara tuning is one of the most popular handpan scales and is characterized by its harmonic, versatile tonal character. The central root note D3 forms the musical foundation. On the top side, the ten notes A3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4, C5, D5 and E5 are arranged in a circular pattern. A special feature of the SEHP202 is the additional bottom note Bb3 on the underside of the instrument. This note expands the D Amara tuning into a complete D minor scale. That lets you play both gentle, melancholic progressions and lively, powerful melodies.

Stainless Steel for Long-Lasting, Ethereal Tones

The Sela Harmony Handpan is entirely handmade and professionally tuned. Its high-quality stainless steel is notable for particularly long sustain. The struck notes ring on and blend into ethereal soundscapes. Compared to instruments made from nitrided steel, the stainless-steel construction offers a longer sound development, which especially supports slow and meditative playing styles. Thanks to its fast and sensitive response, clear, melodic tones can be produced with the slightest touch. The high-quality matte-gold finish gives the instrument an elegant look.

Intuitive Playing With a Practical Scale Overview

The handpan combines rhythmic percussion with melodic sound characteristics. Because of the fixed scale, you can develop harmonious melodies even without reading music. As you gain experience you can play chords, rhythmic variations and two-voice melodies. Particularly practical is the laser-engraved scale overview on the underside of the SEHP202. It shows the individual tone fields and helps you learn the note layout. The handpan is suitable for solo performances as well as for playing with other handpans, guitars, tongue drums and percussion instruments.

Comfortable Transport With a Padded Bag

The equipment includes a padded transport bag made of tear-resistant nylon fabric. It protects the instrument during transport and offers a comfortable backpack function thanks to its adjustable shoulder straps. Two additional carry handles allow classic hand carrying. A practical exterior pocket provides space for smaller accessories such as a metronome. This keeps your Sela Harmony Handpan safe and conveniently stored on the go.

Handpan Stand

The Sela handpan stand is a lightweight, foldable playing stand specially developed for handpans and percussion instruments. The height of the handpan stand is 61 cm, making it ideal for comfortable seated playing. At the same time the stand increases freedom of movement. With the attached cords it can be easily and infinitely adjusted in height.

Microfiber Cloth

The Kirstein microfiber cloth, thanks to its particularly soft and smooth surface, ensures optimal dust pickup and leaves surfaces perfectly cleaned. Even extremely sensitive surfaces can be wiped scratch-free with this cloth, because the edging is very delicate and fine. Due to its relatively low water absorption the Kirstein microfiber cloth is excellently suited for dry application.
