All Professional Snare Drums come standard with a REMO Muff'l damper to support the short but full tone. The original Remo heads - made in the USA - are another key factor for a balanced sound. The parade snare drums with 12" and 14" shell depth are equipped with four-screw mounted lugs, ensuring even tension distribution across the shell, which positively affects the sound. The handcrafted SONOR spiral snares give these instruments the desired brilliance.

This drum was specially developed to meet the high demands of military bands. The military bands of the German Armed Forces and the Swiss Army play the MP 1412 XM. It is used in all areas of marching music due to its short, dry tone, enhanced by the built-in original Remo Muff'l damper. The practical "Snap-Lock" thread locks prevent unwanted loosening of the 20 tension rods.
