Paiste Cymbals for the Perfect Sound!
2002 cymbals are made from SnBz-8 bronze, an alloy first used in 1963 for the Giant-Beat series, which evolved into the 2002 series in 1971. The 2002 cymbals are especially suited to situations where volume is required without sacrificing musical expression or precision. 2002 cymbals are characterized by a wide frequency range; they sound bright, powerful, and clear.
The guiding principle of the family-owned company Paiste is to continually create new sounds for cymbals, gongs and bronze percussion instruments tailored to the needs of drummers and percussionists. Cymbals up to and including the Alpha series are produced in Germany, and the gongs are also handcrafted there. All other cymbal series are crafted exclusively by hand at the company headquarters in Switzerland. Paiste aims to create and to encourage creation. Every musician can contribute new sound ideas and thus become a catalyst for further innovations.
