Paiste Cymbals for the Perfect Sound!
2002 cymbals are made from SnBz-8 bronze, an alloy that was first used in 1963 for the Giant Beat series, which in 1971 evolved into the 2002 series. The 2002 cymbals are particularly suited to situations that demand volume without sacrificing musical expression or precision. 2002 cymbals are characterized by a wide frequency spectrum; they sound bright, powerful and clear.
As a family-owned company, Paiste's principle is to continually create new sounds for cymbals, gongs and bronze percussion instruments based on the needs of drummers and percussionists. Cymbals up to and including the Alpha series are produced in Germany; the gongs are also handcrafted there. All other cymbal series are exclusively handcrafted at the company's headquarters in Switzerland. Paiste aims to design and to have designs made. Every musician can contribute new sound ideas and thus spark further innovation.
