The new KR-11 is a compact yet feature-packed drum machine that’s easy to transport and adds variety to your music. The KR-11 is based on the legacy of the legendary KORG Doncamatic from 1963 and brings it into the modern era.
Easy-to-Use Rhythm Accompaniment – Anytime, Anywhere!
Simply choose your favorite genre to get started! Each genre contains 14 unique variations, totaling 126 different rhythm patterns. Additionally, 14 user memory slots are available for your own rhythms, allowing you to tailor the KR-11 perfectly to your individual needs.
The KR-11 runs on batteries and is both lightweight and compact. The built-in speaker lets you play immediately with a huge selection of rhythmic phrases. Beyond essential patterns like 8-beat and 16-beat, the KR-11 also offers more specific styles such as "Blues/R&B" and "Country" for guitarists, as well as "Island," a rhythm specially programmed for ukulele players. Alongside common 3/4 rhythms, the KR-11 includes more unusual time signatures like 5/4 and 7/8. The "Swing" function adds the necessary human feel to the grooves.
The KR-11 naturally includes a metronome function for practice, making it a handy companion for a wide range of musicians such as guitarists, bassists, keyboard players, and orchestral musicians.
Expand Your Possibilities When Practicing and Performing
In pattern play mode, optional footswitches allow seamless switching between different patterns, starting and stopping the currently selected pattern, and triggering fill-ins by foot, so you don’t have to take your hands off your instrument to control the rhythm.
In pad play mode, these footswitches can be used to play additional drum sounds such as bass drum and hi-hat (pre-assigned from the factory).
The integrated headphone/line output lets you connect the KR-11 to a PA, mixer, or other devices, enabling you to play rhythms through larger speaker systems. A particularly simple setup would be connecting the KR-11 to a guitar amplifier.
Finger Drumming in Pad Play Mode
The 16 pads on the device are assigned different drum sounds like bass drum, snare, hi-hat, and cymbals. These pads are perfect for spontaneous finger drum performances. Velocity sensitivity ensures the sounds respond to how hard you hit the pads, allowing you to create especially realistic-sounding drum patterns.
You can also save your pad performances to the designated user memory slots and recall them anytime.
Compact, battery-powered, and with an integrated speaker system, the KR-11 is easy to use on the go, outdoors, and practically anywhere.
