The Clavinova series digital pianos are renowned above all for their incomparable piano sound, authentic touch and fast key repetition. The new Clavinova CVP-700 series also combines the sound of two world-class grand pianos — the CFX, Yamaha's finest concert grand, and the Bösendorfer Imperial — in a single digital piano. Tuned to perfection by highly experienced piano technicians and sampled individually for every key, the new Clavinova series captures the unique character of these outstanding concert grands perfectly. Thanks to Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), you have access to the full range of these acoustic instruments, with even the finest tonal nuances faithfully reproduced.

To perfect the touch of an acoustic grand, a number of features have been combined, such as keys with synthetic ivory keytops and escapement simulation. Linear-weighted hammers, key counterweights and the GP Response Damper Pedal further enhance the playing experience on the CVP-709.

All models are equipped with an informative color display; the larger models in the series even feature a touchscreen. The new Piano Room has been expanded and now also includes additional keyboard instruments including electric vintage pianos. In Session Mode you can invite three other musicians to join you in the Piano Room. They will automatically follow your playing harmonically, either in Full-Keyboard Mode or Split Mode — and with the Dynamics Control function they even adapt their volume to the musical expression of your performance. In the new Piano Room you can even make a recording of your performance including the session musicians with a single button press.

As you would expect from Clavinova CVP models, the 700 series instruments also offer a wide selection of realistic voices and accompaniment styles, including Super Articulation Voices — and on the CVP-709 even Super Articulation 2 Voices. In addition, the CVP-709 offers Audio Styles.

The CVP-700 series is unrivaled when it comes to learning, entertainment and creativity, thanks to a large selection of features such as guide lights, recording options and wireless connectivity. The CVP-700 series is compatible with various iOS apps, for example the Chord Tracker. This new app detects the chord sequence of an audio song on your iOS device and transfers it to the Clavinova.

The delivery includes the songbook "50 Classics for the Piano". All songs from the book are also stored on the instrument as preset songs. That way you can easily play the desired song, accompany it yourself or simply listen to check your learning progress.
