Each of the white wooden keys on the GrandTouch-S keyboard is crafted from a single block of solid wood. Yamaha’s wood processing techniques were specially developed for building acoustic pianos to make the keyboard less prone to warping. This results in keys that offer a robust playing feel.

The GrandTouch and GrandTouch-S keyboards were designed to embody the concept of a keyboard with the playing feel of a grand piano. Pianists shape their tone by perceiving changes in the feel and pressure of their fingers that occur within the short duration of the keystroke—from the moment they press a key until it reaches its end.
