Weighted Hammer Keyboard with Touch Sensitivity

The weighted keyboard of the DP-17 with real hammer action simulates the playing feel of an acoustic piano with traditional mechanics as authentically as possible for the pianist. The 88 keys feature a certain "natural" resistance when pressed down, just like classic acoustic pianos. The keyboard is also touch-sensitive, meaning the tones sound louder or softer depending on how hard you press a key.

128-Note Polyphony

Thanks to the 128-note polyphony, the electric piano can play up to 128 tones simultaneously. This wide range of available tones allows the player to use voices from various music styles, from classical to rock, anytime with stereo sound.

128 Different Sounds

The selection of 128 high-quality sounds allows for different melodic accents and thus the creation of very different moods. The pianist can enjoy plenty of room for experimentation. From piano to organ to string sounds, the digital piano offers a selection of classic voices.

Accompaniment with 600 Styles

To keep things exciting with the DP-17, a full band or complete orchestra is always ready to accompany the pianist. This is made possible by the integrated accompaniment system, which adapts independently to the chords played with the left hand. In total, the McGrey digital piano offers 600 different styles across a wide variety of music genres.

The "Dual" and "Split" Functions

With the "Dual" function, you can layer two voices—such as strings and piano—on top of each other, creating a particularly impressive, full sound. "Split" divides your keyboard into two separate zones. You can assign these zones individually with different voices, for example, strings on the left hand and piano on the right.

Metronome and Headphone Connections

To help you keep the right beat and tempo while practicing, the DP-17 includes a built-in metronome. Both tempo and volume can be adjusted as desired. Additionally, the DP-17 features two headphone jacks, allowing you to practice and play anytime without disturbing neighbors. The second headphone jack also lets others listen to your playing quietly.

The "Soft", "Sostenuto" and "Sustain" Pedals

The DP-17 digital piano offers three pedals like an acoustic grand piano, allowing you to precisely influence the sound of the pieces you play. The soft pedal on the left and the sostenuto pedal in the middle are played with the left foot. The sustain pedal on the right is usually used most often. It lets all tones ring out, while the middle sostenuto pedal only sustains already played notes. The left soft pedal reduces the volume of struck notes and creates a softer sound.

Includes Stickers for Additional Functions

Some functions like the metronome, accompaniment, or effects are accessed via certain keys on the keyboard. Since these are not labeled separately, a sticker is included. You can attach it to the instrument to find these functions more easily.

Comfortable Stereo Headphones

The KH-238 delivers a full, balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs. It offers plenty of volume while maintaining clean and precise stereo imaging. The softly padded, wide headband is adjustable in length with 12 steps per side for optimal fit. For even more comfort, the ear cups rotate on two axes. The thick, soft padding of the circumaural ear cups also provides good external noise isolation. The volume control integrated into the cable is always at hand, simplifying use with a PC or mp3 player. The 3.5 mm stereo jack plug ensures excellent transmission quality, and a nickel-plated 6.3 mm stereo adapter is also included.

The instrument is introduced to beginners in a playful, relaxed way. Starting with familiar, simple melodies and progressing to two-handed playing of complete songs, theoretical knowledge is also conveyed alongside. Reading sheet music, rhythm, dynamics, and much more are covered alongside the exercises. The simple exercises guarantee quick learning success.
