Casio GP-510 - Sonic Excellence & Authenticity!
The Celviano Grand Hybrid series - developed in collaboration with C. Bechstein - also convinces star pianists with acoustic excellence. A premium wooden keyboard and unique tones with the authenticity of a classic grand piano are combined with innovative technologies of a modern digital piano. The result: a thrilling top-class sound experience.

The flagship GP-510 of the Grand Hybrid series sets new standards in the world of digital pianos and guarantees an especially authentic playing experience. The new speaker system impresses with a full-bodied sound projection, the newly developed keyboard touch dynamics ensure highly precise expressiveness in playing, and the revised samples offer particularly nuanced decays.
Among the 35 tones are also three famous grand pianos. Additional features - such as reverb simulator, Concert Play, and scene setting - provide numerous possibilities for creativity.
Grand Hybrid Technology
Since the development of the first digital pianos, instrument makers have strived to create an electronic instrument that matches the playing experience of a real concert grand piano. The next chapter in piano history is written and manifests itself in Casio's revolutionary Grand Hybrid pianos.
These new digital pianos include sounds from the three most famous concert grands worldwide, a keyboard system based on the same materials and dynamic mechanisms as a concert grand, and a sound system that offers the rich tonal quality and broad sound spectrum of an acoustic grand piano. This perfect fusion of acoustic and digital technologies is found only in Casio's Celviano Grand Hybrid.
AiR Grand Sound Generation
The Celviano Grand Hybrid features the AiR Grand Sound Source sound generation, a newly developed system using Casio's latest sound technologies, which includes multidimensional morphing technology and an acoustic simulator.

Multidimensional Morphing
Casio's multidimensional morphing technology generates natural and smooth transitions in volume and tone based on touch strength and note duration.
Acoustic Simulator
Resonance System - The acoustic simulator reproduces the resonance of the strings and the entire soundboard of a concert grand piano through selection, control, and synthesis depending on playing style.
Hardware Resonator - The hardware resonator produces damper and duplex scale as well as undamped string resonances in the treble range to ensure distinctive sounds.
Action Sound System
A concert grand also generates various mechanical noises that are an important part of the overall sound. Casio aims for a realistic sound impression by reproducing these sound components as well.
Key Off Simulator
The length of a note's decay depends, among other things, on how quickly the pianist releases a key after striking it. Similarly, the Key Off Simulator controls the length of the sounds based on how a key is released.
Hammer Response
In a concert grand, struck notes sound with a slight time delay depending on the key position played. To authentically imitate this characteristic, Casio has installed corresponding settings for each of the three grand piano sounds.
Grand Pedal System
Continuous detection of pedal positions allows precise control of the damper pedal, thus good control over the duration and volume of sounds. Additionally, the pianist can control when the damper effect occurs via the half-pedal function.

Grand Acoustic System
Casio has developed a dedicated speaker system for the Celviano Grand Hybrid - the Grand Acoustic System. It mimics the acoustic behavior of a concert grand by simulating the radiation characteristics of the top and bottom of the soundboard.
Variable Piano Lid
The Celviano Grand Hybrid's cabinet features a variable piano lid that can be manually opened or closed. The lid position physically influences the sound of the top-mounted speakers.
Reverb Simulator & Listening Position
The reverb simulator offers the typical sound characteristics of 12 world-famous venues based on careful analysis of their acoustic properties.
Lid Simulator
The volume and tone color of a grand piano change depending on how far the lid is opened or closed. The lid simulator provides a digital simulation of this acoustic effect.
Volume Sync EQ
This function balances the sound at low volumes by adjusting the tonal quality in the low and high keyboard ranges.
Headphone Mode
The headphone mode automatically creates a spacious sound image while playing through headphones, giving the feeling of playing on a real acoustic piano.
"Natural Grand Hammer Action" Keyboard
For an authentic piano playing feel, Casio developed a new keyboard system called "Natural Grand Hammer Action." This action features full-length wooden keys and hammers that follow the same motion paths as those of a concert grand. Additionally, the keys of the Grand Hybrid models are made from the same materials as those of an acoustic concert grand.

Original Tri-Sensor Hammer Mechanism
The keyboard mechanism of the Celviano Grand Hybrid models is a new development by Casio. It includes a hammer movement derived from the concert grand, plus three sensors per key that precisely measure and reproduce the intensity of the touch.
Keyboard Surface Materials
Similar surface materials are used as for modern concert grands.
Pivot Distance from Keys
The pivot position relative to the keys is exactly the same as on a concert grand.
Premium Features
Concert Play
Playing with an orchestra is an extraordinarily exciting experience. The Concert Play function offers the pianist 15 high-quality live recordings of an orchestra.
Scene
This function provides the appropriate sound environment for various pieces. A scene is created by different combinations of piano tones, effects, and reverb levels (available for GP-500BP and GP-400).
The Celviano Grand Hybrid is the product of years of sound research and innovative technology!
