The deep, dry, shimmering tone developed by Kerope Zildjian in the 19th century continues to inspire drummers today. Extensive hammering and lathing shape the alloy into versatile cymbals with a wide tonal range of high and low frequencies, allowing the cymbal to sound soft or intense.
