Each Zildjian cast-bronze cymbal is individually cast from the secret Zildjian alloy developed nearly 400 years ago. Experienced cymbal smiths use surface techniques proven over centuries, creating unique cymbals played by the world's leading drummers and percussionists.
The deep, dry, shimmering tone developed by Kerope Zildjian in the 19th century continues to inspire drummers today. Extensive hammering and lathing shape the alloy into versatile cymbals with a wide tonal range of high and low frequencies, allowing the cymbal to sound soft or intense.
