Crisp hi-hat sound with a dark character!
The Meinl 14" HCS Dark Hi-Hat combines a crisp chick sound when closed with a smooth sizzle when played open. This makes it a versatile foundation for rock and pop grooves. Its defined, balanced character, medium-dark tone, and low-mid pitch deliver a controlled, focused sound. The distinctive dark finish also gives the hi-hat a modern, eye-catching look on the drum kit.
Precise chick and controlled sizzle
When played closed, the HCS Dark Hi-Hat delivers a clear chick sound for precise rhythmic patterns. Open it up, and it produces a smooth sizzle that works flexibly for dynamic grooves. Its short sustain and medium-to-low volume support its controlled tonal character.
MS63 alloy and distinctive looks
The 14" hi-hat is made from an MS63 brass alloy and machine-formed. Its medium weight, wide-blade lathing, and dark finish define the series' technical and visual character. The hi-hat is made in Germany. The result is a versatile pair of hi-hat cymbals with a defined response, darker tonal aesthetic, and attractive value for money.
