The tone of the striking surface varies depending on whether the cajon is hit centrally or more towards the edge. This allows even the smallest drummer to learn accented playing on this instrument. Inside the cajon are guitar strings that create the typical snare effect. The string tension can be adjusted via two hex screws on the bottom. This way, the sound can be easily tailored to personal preferences.
