Schlagwerk DC280M Mountable DynaCrasher!
The versatility and flexibility of cajons can be further expanded with a variety of add-ons. The goal is to unlock entirely new sound possibilities and customize the overall cajon sound. All in the same design language and the usual indestructible Schlagwerk quality.
Schlagwerk’s experience with BuzzBoards led to the approach of making this sound system playable with sticks over a wider dynamic range. That’s how the DynaCrasher was developed from wooden panels with a snare carpet on a solid wood carrier. This design allows for quiet hand playing that instantly produces snare or sizzle sounds at low volumes. Yet, it delivers penetrating crash sounds when played with sticks at high volumes, such as in drum set groove arrangements. Schlagwerk offers two versions for different applications. The DC280 is the percussion version fixed by Velcro on a surface (the number indicates the length in mm). The DC280M is mountable via the woodblock holder, compatible with any standard percussion rod with a 9-10 mm diameter.

There are many crashers on the market. Most consist of several differently shaped and arranged metal plates. They provide drummers with hard, short, cutting crashing sounds. The two adjustment screws control the buzz/crash sustain. Although made of wood, the striking surface material is extremely durable. Originally designed for construction site use, it’s compressed to withstand forklifts and other heavy machinery. Schlagwerk couldn’t damage the surface with any tool from a drummer’s arsenal.
