While the SG Bass's short scale is often preferred by smaller players, many musicians also choose it for the strong fundamental tone this short bass is known for. As expected, the solid mahogany body features a deep-cut scarf joint and the rounded mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard feels familiar and comfortable. A pair of calibrated SG Bass pickups (neck and bridge) with individual volume controls and a master tone control offers additional tonal possibilities.
