The Ashdown Roasted Capri - Sound Meets Character!
Inspired by the timeless style of the Ford Capri, the Capri is a 30-inch scale instrument that pairs effortless playability with vintage character. With a roasted maple neck and fingerboard for warmth and resonance, it comes fitted with a hand-wound, passive humbucker for a rich, classic tone. The Capri blends automotive inspiration with musical craftsmanship - a true modern classic.
Compact and Stylish Design
With a 30-inch scale and 19 frets, this bass is built for comfort and playability and is perfect for players who prefer a shorter neck without compromising tone. It's available in striking colors and paired with a matching pickguard, giving it a bold vintage-flavored aesthetic. The matching headstock completes the unified, stage-ready look.
Premium Build Quality
Roasted maple neck and fingerboard deliver smooth playability, improved stability, and a touch of modern refinement. Combined with the lightweight yet resonant body, this design creates a balanced instrument that's comfortable to play even during long sessions. Classic 6 mm dot inlays and vintage chrome tuners add both functionality and timeless style.
Powerful, Modern Sound
Equipped with a chrome-covered Alnico soapbar pickup, this short-scale bass offers a versatile tonal palette that belies its compact size. Expect warm, full lows, clear mids, and articulate highs that cut through the mix with authority. Whether tracking grooves in the studio or playing live, this bass delivers clarity, punch, and adaptability.
