Four-Stringer With Character and Power!
The Jackson JS2 Series Spectra Bass JS2 is a modern 4-string electric bass with a 34" scale length, a powerful PJ pickup configuration and an active Bass Boost you can switch on. Its ergonomic Spectra body design ensures perfect strap balance, while the bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint and Speed Neck profile allows fast, precise playing. Thanks to 24 jumbo frets on the 12" radius laurel fretboard, you play comfortably and with control—from groovy fingerstyle to punchy pick attacks.
Ergonomics & Playability
The asymmetric Spectra design with an extended upper horn distributes weight optimally and prevents neck dive. This keeps the bass comfortably balanced even during long rehearsals or extended live sets. The bolt-on maple neck with a dual-action truss rod offers stability and precise adjustment options. With a nut width of 1.5" (38.1 mm) the neck feels comfortable in the hand and supports fast fretting across all 24 frets.
Versatile PJ Sound Architecture
The combination of the Jackson J-Style bridge pickup and Jackson P-Style neck pickup delivers a huge tonal palette. From crisp highs and defined attack to a solid low-end foundation, the bass confidently covers both modern and classic styles. Use the blend control to mix both pickups continuously, while the volume knob with push/pull function switches between active and passive operation. The integrated active bass boost circuit gives you extra low-end punch in active mode.
Solid Hardware & Sustain
The Jackson hardtail bridge provides direct string-through-body anchoring, supporting long sustain and a precise attack. Sealed Jackson die-cast tuners ensure reliable tuning stability. The nickel-plated steel strings (.045-.105) round out the setup with balanced tension and clear tonal definition.
Modern Construction for Stage & Studio
With its poplar body, bolt-on maple neck and laurel fretboard, this electric bass pairs proven tonewoods with contemporary construction. The exclusive Jackson 2x2 headstock with a subtle logo underscores the distinctive look. Thanks to the flexible electronics, you can seamlessly switch to passive operation in an emergency without fearing tone loss—ideal for professional use in the studio or on stage.
