Fender 75th Anniversary Player II Precision Bass Candy Apple Red

Fender Player II Precision Bass for the 75th Anniversary!

The Fender 75th Anniversary Player II Precision Bass marries one of the most influential bass designs in music history with the modern direction of the Player II series. As part of the strictly limited 75th Anniversary Precision Bass Collection, this model holds a unique place in Fender's current lineup. The special neck plate references the anniversary, while the classic Precision Bass concept remains front and center: a direct feel, straightforward passive electronics and that characteristic P-Bass tone that has powered countless genres for decades.

Classic Alder Meets Modern Player II Ergonomics

The contoured solidbody is made of alder and follows the familiar Precision Bass shape. Fender pairs it with a maple neck in a Modern C profile. The satin urethane finish on the back of the neck is designed for a smooth playing feel and complements the maple fretboard with rounded fretboard edges. The 9.5" radius and medium-jumbo frets intentionally reflect the Player II's modern approach without changing the fundamental character of the Precision Bass. With the classic 34-inch scale, the instrument sits firmly in long-scale territory and delivers the familiar feel of a full-size P-Bass.

The Precision Sound with an Alnico-5 Split-Coil

At the heart of the electronics is a Player Series Alnico 5 split single-coil Precision Bass pickup. Its construction follows the proven split-coil principle of the Precision Bass and provides the focused, punchy core tone the model is known for. The passive wiring remains deliberately straightforward: master volume and master tone allow direct shaping of the sound without added electronics. That makes the bass ideal for players who prefer a clearly defined fundamental tone and want to shape dynamics and timbre immediately through attack, instrument and amplifier.

Solid Hardware for Everyday Use

The 4-saddle bridge features individual notched steel saddles and allows separate adjustment for each string. Standard open-gear tuners continue the classic Fender look, while the nickel and chrome hardware round out the traditional appearance. The three-ply parchment pickguard and black pickup covers continue the familiar Precision Bass design cues. The bass ships with Fender USA 7250M nickel-plated steel strings in gauges .045–.105. This limited anniversary edition thus combines established Precision Bass DNA with the player-oriented refinements of the Player II generation.
