Ibanez SRF705-BBF Brown Burst Flat

...my expectations regarding the manufacturing quality in relation to the selling price were unfortunately a bit disappointed. I still own a much older SR from Japanese manufacturing, which was built with much more care for its then much lower (DM) price. My most recent acquisition earned the point deduction with a nut that is 3mm shorter than the neck is wide at the headstock, and several sloppy finishes as well as the unbroken wood edge of the very dry fingerboard wood to the neck PU.
But no earlier was not ALL better😉
The playability is namely just great, because the flat but still not too thin neck profile is made for me.
The strung strings fit very well to the instrument and the sound possibilities of the installed pickup-preamp combination are not infinite, but quite appropriate for such an instrument. Only the treble boost I would wish a little less harsh. The Piezos in the bridge unfold their potential as Uprightsimulation according to my taste only so correctly if one increases the rather low string position in the delivery state a little, so that one can rattle with the strings nicely on the fingerboard.
I really like the sustain that can be achieved with the continuous neck construction and in my situation (pop to rock) it is very well suited to make the one or other compressor use superfluous.

In short:
I would not give it away anymore despite my initial grumbling....🤓
