For over 40 years, Ibanez has been a pioneer in bass development. They have pushed the boundaries of traditional designs for bassists of all styles and created new avenues of expression. Drawing on this experience and knowledge, Ibanez has crafted ultimately ergonomic basses—the EHB basses—distinguished by their thoughtfully designed headless form.

The headless construction and specially designed EHB body allow the player to maintain a similar playing position whether sitting or standing. The contoured, ergonomic design and chambered body provide a lightweight, balanced, and comfortable instrument, perfect for long sets or practice sessions. Additionally, the upper half of the body back is beveled so the bass sits closer to the player’s body for better control and a more ergonomic feel.

The EHB1505 features a body made of lightweight African mahogany and a 9-piece neck of Panga Panga and walnut for balanced tone and clear attack. Durable stainless steel frets emphasize brightness and resist rust. Luminescent side dot inlays ensure clear visibility in low light, and the truss rod adjustment is located at the neck heel for easy access.

The Nordstrand Big Split single-coil pickups have split coils to reduce hum. Their tonal character is a hybrid P/J style, delivering a rich and powerful yet balanced sound that suits various playing styles. The Vari-Mid 3-band EQ includes a variable mid-frequency control, offering an incredibly wide range of tones. There is also an EQ bypass switch for passive operation, with the treble control acting as a passive tone knob when the EQ is bypassed.

The MR5HS bridge was specially designed for the EHB basses and features a wide intonation range. Each saddle is independently and securely mounted to the body to maximize vibration transfer. The saddles are adjustable for string spacing by +/- 1.5 mm, meeting every bassist’s string spacing preference regardless of playing style. Teflon washers are used on each tuner to ensure smooth tuning.

Schaller S-Lock strap locks and a Neutrik locking jack keep the strap and cable secure, and each instrument comes with a detachable finger ramp and a gigbag.
