Josef Klier - Highest Quality From Master Craftsmanship!
The family business traces its origins to Graslitz in the Sudetenland, the town regarded as the cradle of musical instrument making. That's where the development of the entire industry began. As early as 1669, 12 master violin makers worked in Graslitz. By the outbreak of World War II, 300 companies existed, employing a total of 3,000 trained instrument makers.
JK Mouthpiece "Exclusive"
JK EXCLUSIVE mouthpieces are characterized by great tonal volume, pure intonation, easy response and precisely calculated resistance in cup profile and backbore, giving the player good endurance. Sonically, the Export line is geared toward symphonic wind music and the classical brass band.
The consistent embouchure and cup diameter across the series, together with the exact and finely graduated increments, allow the musician to achieve any desired style without having to change their embouchure. A mouthpiece series of such precise and optimally executed design cannot be found in any other mouthpiece offering.
A player's personal tonal preferences and wishes can only be met with the highest possible technical precision. For that reason Klier uses computer-controlled CNC lathes to manufacture their JK mouthpieces. Only this manufacturing method, thanks to its high positioning accuracy, achieves the required series precision with tolerances in the µm range (thousandths of a millimeter).
Good to know:
- Backbore A1: small, narrow backbore
- Backbore A2: medium backbore (standard)
- Backbore A3: larger, wide backbore
For passionate wind players with a love for their instrument!
