Hand-Hammered Symphonic Gong With Cotton Protective Cover!
The Sela Symphonic Gongs are masterfully handcrafted instruments. Each symphonic gong is visually unique and built in Spain. The larger the model, the deeper and more full-bodied the sound when struck. Every model includes a cotton cover that lets you protect the gong from external influences like dust, even while it's hanging.
The Sela Symphonic Gong has a traditional shape with a rear-turned rim. It is darkened at the outer edge and gleams with a golden luster in the center. Its characteristic appearance, with many shimmering color nuances, results from the intense heating during tuning and shaping of the gong.
Gongs are an integral part of many cultures around the world and produce calming, long-lasting, almost esoteric tones. Depending on how hard, where, and with what the Sela Symphonic Gong is struck, different frequency ranges come to the fore. It offers far greater versatility than it may first appear.
Gongs are used for their relaxing effects in meditation and sound therapy, since their vibrations penetrate the whole body. Percussionists also often reach for a gong as a special effect in musical and orchestral contexts.
