AKG K-712 Pro Headphones - Master the Sound!
The AKG K712 PRO is an open-back, dynamic headphone designed for studio use and for broadcast and television applications. The transducer-selected headset impresses with flawless workmanship. It delivers a uniquely transparent sound image as well as excellent spatial imaging and depth staging. This is supported by detailed high-frequency resolution combined with optimized low-frequency reproduction from the breathable velour ear pads with 3D form technology.
The diaphragm, manufactured in two layers according to the patented Varimotion system, is driven by neodymium magnets, achieving an especially linear frequency response with low distortion. The voice coil is wound from flat wire and provides perfect transient accuracy and crystal-clear high-frequency reproduction.
The outstanding day-long comfort is based on the well-known self-adjusting AKG headband mechanism with a genuine leather headstrap and the single-sided cable routing with a detachable mini-XLR cable. This enables fatigue-free work — also thanks to the headphones' low weight.

What I like:
- very light
- pleasant to wear, after a short time you "forget" it
- sounds open, transparent and neutral, no bass emphasis
- can also be used as hi-fi headphones
- interchangeable connection cables
What you should know:
- sits rather loosely, not suitable for violent movements
- conditionally suitable for portable devices
