The new DJ players from Pronomic deliver everything needed to push fat beats and party anthems loudly onto the dance floor. Packed with scratching, brake and reverse effects, single and continuous modes, and—most importantly—numerous input sources like CD, USB and SD, these desks give you all the tools to heat up club rooms, restaurants and other events.

2 Channels and Separate Control

The CDJ-230 consists of two units: a 2-U-high player offering connections for CD, USB and SD, and a 2-U-high control unit that operates the mixer. The two parts are linked by two 1.3 m control cables, which also supply power to the control unit. Conveniently, this lets you mount the controller independently of the CD unit at an ergonomic height. Since both channels have separate Cinch outputs, you can even feed two different rooms independently—a big advantage for hospitality venues.

Numerous Input Options

For maximum flexibility, you can use audio and MP3 CDs as well as SD cards and USB sticks as audio sources. Fast access to thousands of tracks across different storage media gives you virtually limitless musical possibilities.

Extra Large Play and Cue Buttons

The two large cue buttons let you jump to a preselected point at any time so you can start every song from the perfect moment. The cue point can be set frame-accurately using the Play/Pause buttons and the jog wheels.

Jog Wheels

The two smooth-running jog wheels can be used in many ways. As a platter substitute they allow short-term pitch changes or great scratching simulations. Alternatively, they make frame-accurate cue targeting effortless.

Pitching

To perfectly align two consecutive tracks, the CDJ-230 offers several pitching options:

• The 46 mm faders allow fixed pitching. You can set the range to ±4, 8 or 16 percent. Alternatively, the two faders can be completely disabled by a long press on the "Pitch" button.
• Short-term pitch bends can be comfortably produced via the "+" and "-" buttons or the large jog wheels. Playback immediately returns to the original tempo when released.

With these pitch-bend options, two tracks can be matched perfectly.

Seamless Loop and Reloop

Seamless A/B playback lets you loop the best parts of a track without ugly gaps; you can even start the loop later using the "Reloop" button at any time.

DSP Effects

To spice up the whole mix, two DSP effects—"Brake" and "Reverse"—are available. Brake mode simulates the slow stopping and restarting of a turntable, while Reverse plays the track backwards.

Search Function via Jog Dial

All tracks on a CD or storage medium can be selected quickly and conveniently with a single dial. You can search not only by title but also by entire folders for the next suitable track.

Display and Indicators

One backlit LCD per channel provides all important information:

• The file format of the current track
• Single or Continuous play mode (in Single mode playback stops after each track, in Continuous mode all tracks play through)
• The 10-segment bar display shows how much of the current track has elapsed
• Frame-accurate (75 fps) time display of elapsed or remaining time
• Current pitch set via fader
• ID3 tag name of the current track
• Repeat Off/1/All
• Loop mode (A-B Repeat)

Programmable Playlist

If desired, a playlist of up to 20 songs can be freely programmed. Even the best DJ needs a short break sometimes.

Rack Mounting

The CDJ-230 has a width of 482 mm and can therefore be mounted in any standard 19" rack. Mobile DJs like the option of installing their gear permanently in a case. Since both units have feet, free-standing use is also possible.
