Want a sea of colorful lights plus a strobe with dazzling output that gives your dancefloor the perfect vibe? The DS-3 from Showlite delivers exactly that — usable both standalone and via DMX. And the included remote makes operation a breeze.
Powerful LED Technology
Four LEDs in red, green, blue and white at 3 watts each let points of light dance across the room and create a wide-area lighting effect. Additionally, sixteen 0.5-watt LEDs deliver a top-class strobe effect. The DS-3 can run fully automatic or synced to the tempo of the music (the sensitivity of the internal microphone is continuously adjustable).
Easy Operation
The four buttons on the rear panel let you access a variety of parameters. A simple menu structure allows intuitive use without having to consult the manual every time. Settings can be read on the 4-digit display. Conveniently, the display switches itself on and off to avoid unnecessary stray light. The active mode can still be read from the dedicated LEDs.
DMX Control
The Showlite DS-3 can be controlled with any standard DMX controller in either 1- or 4-channel mode. With the DMX-Out on the rear you can easily link multiple units, allowing you to install and control a lighting rig of any size.
Remote Control
Even without a controller, the fixture can be operated with the supplied infrared remote control. You get access to color combinations, speed and strobe on/off — an important detail, especially when the derby is mounted out of reach on the ceiling.
Master/Slave Operation
The hybrid unit can be used as either master or slave. Simply link several units and designate one as the master. For example, the unit with the best microphone signal can act as master while all others run in sync.
