Epiphone J-45 Studio EC Acoustic Guitar in Natural Including Gigbag!
The Epiphone J-45 Studio EC is part of the brand-new Epiphone Studio Acoustic Collection. These guitars were completely redesigned to offer the most authentic and affordable acoustics inspired by the legendary Gibson designs. The J-45 Studio EC blends vintage charm with modern craftsmanship and was built to deliver a soulful, resonant tone ideal for blues and folk players.
Based on the classic Gibson J-45 “The Workhorse,” the J-45 Studio EC features a slope-shoulder body with a cutaway and a 24.75" scale, just like the Gibson model that inspired it. The cutaway body provides easy access to the upper frets. The J-45 Studio EC produces a warm, full tone with exceptional clarity, making it versatile across many musical styles. It sports a multi-ply mahogany body with a solid spruce top for a responsive, balanced voice with great dynamic range that improves with age.
The mahogany neck is joined to the body with a glued, tapered dovetail joint and features a Rounded C profile for comfortable playability. The neck is fitted with a rosewood fretboard with 20 standard frets and simple pearloid dot inlays. The strings are guided over a compensated plastic nut and anchored with ivory-colored bridge pins on a belly-up rosewood bridge.
Epiphone has added other vintage touches to the J-45 Studio EC, including a teardrop dark tortoiseshell-style pickguard, three-on-a-plate tuners with ivory plastic buttons, and a 60s Kalamazoo-style headstock with the Epiphone logo proudly printed in gold silkscreen.
The J-45 Studio EC is equipped with Fishman electronics, featuring an S-Core under-saddle pickup and a Fishman Presys II preamp with side-mounted controls for Volume, Bass, Treble and Phase. It also includes a convenient built-in electronic tuner for quick, easy tuning. The Epiphone J-45 Studio EC has a gloss finish and is available in two vintage-inspired colors: Natural and Vintage Sunburst. Right- and left-handed versions are available. A standard gigbag is included.
