Built on years of hands-on experience and extensive user feedback from the SPD-S and SPD-SX models, it raises the bar for sampling pads once again. The SPD-SX PRO takes the pioneering pad technology of its predecessors further with a host of professional features and improvements, while its rugged enclosure is ready to go wherever you do.
Thanks to its large color display and customizable, multicolor trigger lights, you can find your way around even on dark stages. Expand your performance setup with more audio outputs, additional trigger inputs, and expression pedal control for hi-hat and effects. The SPD-SX PRO also gives you a massive 32 GB of storage, 48 kHz audio playback, improved pad sensitivity with reduced crosstalk, and the SPD-SX PRO app for especially convenient kit editing.
Highly Responsive Pads
The SPD-SX PRO features nine rugged pads. The three shoulder pads in the top row have redesigned sensors for increased sensitivity and consistent hits, regardless of how the SPD-SX PRO is positioned or oriented. Crosstalk protection has also been optimized to prevent neighboring pads from triggering accidentally.
SPD-SX owners will find that the SPD-SX PRO is almost identical in size. That means you can keep using your existing bags, cases, and other accessories without buying new gear.

Gear that spends a lot of time on the road takes a beating, onstage and off. Since 2011, countless pro drummers have put the SPD-SX through its paces in small clubs and large stadiums. The SPD-SX PRO's enhancements build directly on that experience. They include customizable LED lights, a large color display, and comprehensive, reliable triggering—a complete package you can count on night after night.
Expanded Audio Outputs
The SPD-SX PRO has two balanced stereo master outputs—left and right. Combine these with the four assignable mono outputs, and you have six audio paths, letting you route any pad through any output when needed and mix with complete flexibility. You'll also find an assignable

When the lights go out, the PRO shines even brighter. With customizable LED and trigger lighting, you can see all nine pads even on dark stages—goodbye gaffer tape! Assign one of ten preset colors to each vertical or horizontal LED.
You can also choose and name your own colors. Group kick, snares, backing tracks, and clicks with a different color for each. You can also set the horizontal pad lights to stay on, light up only when a pad is struck, or respond dynamically to the assigned WAV file.
Built-In Samples and Sounds
The SPD-SX PRO comes loaded with 1,550 high-quality sounds and 200 kits (43 erasable preset kits and 157 user kits). The SPD-SX PRO's processing power lets you switch kits even in the heat of a live performance without cutting off the sound. That way, the kit for your next track is ready to go while the previous kit's sound is still ringing out.

Running out of storage? Those worries are a thing of the past. With 32 GB of internal memory, the SPD-SX PRO can hold around 44 hours of high-resolution stereo audio at 48 kHz / 16-bit. And you don't have to deal with the hassle of converting your source files. Whether they're WAV files at 48/44.1 kHz, AIFF files, or MP3s with different bit rates, the SPD-SX PRO converts them all to its native 48 kHz / 16-bit audio format, saving you plenty of time.
LCD Color Display
No more worrying about dark stages! The SPD-SX PRO features a large 4.3'' color display, backlit buttons and tabs, and a jog dial for lightning-fast sound selection. The screen displays essential information in real time, including A & B sample layers, WAV sample names, sample playback progress, and more.
