Whether you are just starting to learn piano or you simply want a beautiful, stylish piano at home, the P-S500 combines a slim design with great features such as the Stream Lights, which help you begin your musical journey.

Learn to Play. Love the Journey. Light the Way.

The Yamaha P-S500 was designed to bring the world of music closer to every player who seeks new possibilities and wants to expand their musical skills and performance. Thanks to intuitive features like the Stream Lights, which show the player which keys to press, or the Smart Pianist app, players can grow on their musical journey and discover new insights. Players simply need to follow the dynamic lights to play smoothly and harmoniously.

Intuitive Control With a Smart Device

The Yamaha P-S500 is compatible with the Smart Pianist app, which can be installed on the player's smart device. Once connected to the instrument, the player gains access to a wide range of control functions and instrument settings. There are also features that make learning and playing even more enjoyable. In addition, the app can generate accompaniment sheet music from the songs stored on the device, making it even easier to learn favorite tunes. The learning path is greatly simplified by the Stream Lights feature. Red and blue lights above each individual key show the player not only which keys to play but also when to play them. This unique feature even allows playing without reading sheet music.

Two Concert Grands - One Large Collection

Players can look forward to two world-class concert grand piano sounds: Yamaha's finest concert grand, the CFX, and the famous Bösendorfer Imperial from Vienna. A benefit you only find with Yamaha instruments. The sound of both instruments was recorded digitally and masterfully integrated into the P-S500 to give you instant access to top piano tones. And thanks to exquisite binaural sampling, you can experience that overwhelming concert-grand sound even when wearing headphones.

Authentic Play - Like an Acoustic Instrument

The P-S500 is equipped with Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which virtually reproduces the characteristic vibrations and resonances of a classic acoustic piano. In this process, the VRM calculates in real time the position of each of the instrument's 88 tones, ensuring an incomparably realistic and complex sound image. Additional playing pleasure comes from the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with 88 weighted keys, providing an authentic playing feel.

Exquisite Instrument Sounds and Accompaniment Styles

The P-S500 features 660 high-quality tones across a wide variety of instruments, including pianos, electric pianos, organs, wind instruments, strings and percussion. The unique Super Articulation Voices reproduce the characteristic details of each instrument down to the smallest nuance. 100 voices, 100 accompaniment styles and 100 sounds are ready at the push of a button. In combination with the Smart Pianist app on a connected smart device, the player can even choose from an impressive 370 accompaniment styles and 403 songs. The selection covers a wide range of musical genres. The "Audio To Score" function integrated in the Smart Pianist app automatically creates accompaniment sheet music from the player's favorite songs and thus enables playing along with the original recordings.

Audio and MIDI Recordings

The P-S500 allows the player to record their own performance in two different formats: conventionally as an audio file or in MIDI format with up to 16 tracks for more complex arrangements. Not only recording but also sharing recorded data is extremely easy with the Smart Pianist app on the smart device. A microphone can be connected so you can sing along while playing the piano.
