Yamaha Arius YDP-S55B E-Piano Matte Black - Return (Packaging Damage)

Beautiful, Powerful Tone Sampled From Yamaha's Premier CFX Concert Grand

The YDP-S55 offers a piano sound sampled from Yamaha's high-end CFX concert grand — a renowned instrument that combines brilliant highs with a powerful, resonant bass for an exceptionally expressive tone.

The YDP-S55 delivers that same individualized timbre across the keyboard — from the lowest to the highest keys — full of brilliance and rich harmonic color. It gives you outstanding expressive power and nuance that feels authentic in both daily practice and your most emotional performances.

Authentic Acoustic Playability and Full Control With the Half-Pedal Unit

With an 88-key piano action, the GH3 keyboard (Graded Hammer 3) reproduces the touch of an acoustic piano — naturally heavier in the lower keys and lighter in the upper octaves. The GH3 keyboard gives you the functionality and touch of a grand, allowing fast repetition and authentic expressive control. In addition, there is a half-pedal damper function that realistically reproduces a grand's damper behavior, enabling a wide range of expressive variations.

Harmonic Resonance Like a Grand - Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite)

One of the fascinations of a grand is the distinctive resonance produced by the vibration of the entire instrument. The YDP-S55 reproduces this rich resonance effect with a groundbreaking technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite creates a varied tone by simulating the complex resonances that occur when string vibrations are transferred to the soundboard and other strings. This happens in accordance with the timing and intensity of your keyboard and pedal playing.

Robust, Powerful Tone Produced by the "Tone Escapement Construction"

In addition to authentic grand piano tones, the YDP-S55 offers several other instrument voices with a total of 10 sounds — including electric piano, organ, vibraphone and strings.

The YDP-S55 also features 353 built-in songs, including 50 famous classical pieces and 303 comprehensive exercises from well-known methods such as Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app — simply download it to your smart device and connect it to the instrument*.

With the Smart Pianist app you can easily control the instrument's various voice functions and display sheet music for both internal and external songs. It also includes a comprehensive Piano Room feature that lets you tailor the tone quality and resonance settings of the piano sound to your preferences.

*A cable connection is required. Make sure to purchase the appropriate cable for your smart device.

Features for Improved Listening Comfort When Using Headphones

The YDP-S55 uses a new technology that optimizes the tonal balance according to the volume you select — for an exceptionally natural sound that is gentle on your ears even during long playing sessions.

It also features a Stereophonic Optimizer effect so you can enjoy the natural, spatial sound you experience in front of an acoustic grand even when using headphones.

Slim, Stylish Design That Integrates Elegantly

The cabinet has a shallow depth, so you can place the instrument easily in any room. It delivers a chic, stylish design that enhances your living space. In addition, the keyboard cover gives the instrument a flat, clean look when closed.
