The VE-500 comes in a stompbox format and fits easily into any pedalboard. Connect your guitar to the instrument input to control harmony, pitch, and vocoder functions. Meanwhile, you can send the unprocessed guitar signal through the Thru output to your other pedals. At the same time, the processed vocals can be sent via the VE-500’s stereo XLR outputs directly to a PA mixer, stage monitor, or recording device.

With the VE-500’s various harmony modes, you can flexibly adjust the generated harmonies according to song requirements and key structure. Additionally, the harmony engine can be controlled via MIDI (through the VE-500’s MIDI or USB input) to create perfect live harmonies using a MIDI keyboard or DAW backing tracks.

The VE-500 offers an enormous variety of effects and parameters to create almost any desired vocal sound. Flexible effect routing options allow you to process solo and harmony vocals together or separately. Use the Enhance section to shape your vocals with essential effects like compressor, de-esser, and EQ. Then continue with the two dedicated reverb/delay sections to refine your sound with subtle coloring or transport it into lush ambient spheres.
Furthermore, you have four independent FX engines at your disposal, each with a wide range of effect types. For modern hit sounds, you can switch to alternative modes with strong effect processing. Here, noticeable pitch shifts, electronic tonal colors, and even robot sounds await your vocals.

Comprehensive Performance Control

Using the large display and the VE-500’s knobs and buttons, you can quickly and easily edit and recall sounds. Once you find the perfect setup, 99 user patches are available for saving and can be used live anytime. Additionally, the separately available editor/library software lets you edit sounds and manage patches on your Mac or Windows computer.

The three knobs on the control surface can be assigned to parameter favorites for quick and easy sound tweaking on stage. Plus, the three built-in footswitches provide access to numerous functions, including patch selection, toggling individual effects, harmony and looper functions, and more. External footswitches, an expression pedal, and the MIDI input offer even more control options.
