The RC-10R supports two song parts, intros and outros, as well as a variety of groove fills. You have full control and visibility via the knobs and loop display on the interface. Additionally, you can expand the RC-10R with external switches and MIDI controllers as needed to make your performance even more flexible.
The extensive rhythm library covers nearly every music genre. Or you can import your own rhythms to tailor the RC-10R perfectly to your individual needs for specific songs and styles.

A Song-Based Looper and Drum Machine in One Device

The RC-10R combines loops and rhythms in an interactive way never seen before. Unlike the rather basic guide rhythms of other loop stations, the RC-10R’s rhythms are based on complete song structures with different parts.

The 2-track loop engine is perfectly synchronized to the rhythms. This way, you can record independent song sections each with its own rhythm backing. Two variations allow transitions between sections to be more lively, while your songs naturally start and end with intro and outro fills.

High-Quality Rhythm Sounds and Organic Grooves

The RC-10R is ready for any music style—from rock and pop to Latin, jazz, electro, and more. With over 280 built-in rhythm styles including organic grooves, you’ll easily find the perfect accompaniment for your music.

If you don’t find what you need, you can use the specially developed Mac/Windows software to transfer your own rhythms in SMF format and store them on one of the 50 user memory slots. Whatever style you choose, you can quickly and easily change the sound character of each groove via the 16 kits—from heavy rock to light percussion.

Adapts to Your Creativity

The loop and rhythm engines of the RC-10R work perfectly together, but you can also use them independently. This way, you can create two separate loops without any rhythm backing and craft complex song performances with lively ambient soundscapes. You can also use the RC-10R as a drum machine and control song sections and fills in real time using only your feet—the ideal support on stage, in jam sessions, and during practice.

More Options for Power Users

With its interactive screens and multifunction controls, the RC-10R is a standalone powerhouse. But some users need even more control options—no problem for the RC-10R. It offers a jack connection that lets you connect up to two footswitches or an expression pedal to control functions like start/stop, undo/redo, loop volume, and more.

Deeper control options come via the MIDI input/output, implemented through space-saving TRS mini-jack connectors, which combined with external MIDI controllers provide direct access to countless functions and sync options.

Loop Engine with State-of-the-Art Sound

BOSS loop stations are known for their outstanding sound quality. The RC-10R marks the current pinnacle of this development. The loop recording engine works with 32-bit AD/DA conversion and 32-bit floating-point calculation and doesn’t have to hide its audio performance behind the best studio equipment. As with every loop station, the dry signal can be processed completely analog to preserve the original sound 100 percent.

Perfect Sound for Every Setup

Electric guitars and grooves require different amplification and processing. While guitarists usually rely on their amplifier to find the desired tone, rhythm machines need a transparent full-range playback system to capture all nuances.

The RC-10R allows sending the looper and rhythms via independent outputs to separate amplifier systems. If you don’t have two amplifiers available or prefer a simpler setup, the RC-10R uses a clever little trick.

You can shape the guitar and/or rhythm sound with a variety of tone filters and adjust it for joint amplification through a single system—whether it’s a guitar amp, a PA system, or your studio monitors.
