Classic Cantabile Student Cello 3/4 Set incl. Bow and Case

When we opened the cover we saw that a string is broken ! Very unfortunate.
I hope the teacher can fix it. It is a beautiful cello though.

Those who, like our school orchestra, have to keep to a tight budget and are faced with the question of whether a usable beginner's instrument is even available at this unbeatable price, won't go wrong with this cello. With a little feeling for the material, setting up the bridge should not be a big problem even for non-experts, and as soon as the - admittedly somewhat poor - stringing holds the tuning, there is almost nothing standing in the way of eliciting the first notes.

Only the stubborn rosin, which does not let itself be impressed by the bow hair as a mirror-smooth block, could stand in the way of first attempts. So if you want to get started right away, you might want to order a softer rosin.

The workmanship seems very solid, the fingerboard is straight and the string action is fine. Also visually there is absolutely nothing to complain about. The bow is strung quite neatly, and the bow screw should withstand a few tension cycles with proper treatment. Last but not least, the lightly padded bag deserves praise; although it is of course not made for transport in a crowded public transport.

In my opinion, this uncomplicated instrument is well suited to meet the requirements of young cello beginners for two to three years - if you can afford a new stringing, perhaps even longer.

The lid comes off, the loop does not tighten, very disappointed in the product.

The instrument probably has no quality control. The scroll was broken and we found it out of the case in the paper box.
