The TM-70T, the long-awaited combination of tuner and metronome, is here!
The TM series, a groundbreaking concept combining a tuner and metronome, features a variety of functions and excellent readability, making it the ultimate tuning and rhythm training device for wind and string instruments.
The latest model, the TM-70T, further enhances the original concept and is now easier to use than ever. It’s not only compact enough to fit in a pocket but also features a new display with improved visibility and a new transpose function (F, Bb, Eb), making it the ideal partner for any musician. The sound quality of the metronome and tone output has also been improved, ensuring clear audibility even in noisy environments.
The quality, speed, and accuracy of tuning, essential for every performance, have also been enhanced. The TM-70T is fully "Made in Japan," underscoring Korg’s pride and commitment to quality as a long-standing market leader in tuners and metronomes.

Compact and Easier to Use: TM-70T
The TM series, which combines a tuner and metronome in one device, is the ultimate tuner/metronome incorporating the best of Korg’s technology cultivated over many years. The TM-70 is smaller than its predecessor, the TM-60, but features a larger display with note names and scales. Thanks to the higher resolution LCD display, it’s easier to read from various angles, enabling stress-free and highly precise tuning.
Tuner for Quick and Accurate Pitch Detection of Wind and String Instruments
LCD Needle Display with Wide Measurement Range from C1 to C8 and Excellent Responsiveness
The wide measurement range from C1 (32.70 Hz) to C8 (4186.01 Hz) allows easy and accurate tuning of low-pitched instruments, instruments with many overtones that are hard to detect, and acoustic instruments like guitars and ukuleles. The CM-400 contact microphone (sold separately) can be used to transmit vibrations directly to the tuner, ensuring reliable tuning regardless of the environment.
The LCD needle display, using Korg’s proprietary technology to detect pitch accurately without delay, also lets you check the "wobble" that occurs with long tones on wind instruments, helping you achieve a stable, steady pitch.

Added Transpose Function, Switchable to F, Bb, and Eb
The transpose function is useful for transposing instruments where the actual note played differs from the note name written in the score. Besides the usual C, you can now switch between F, Bb, and Eb. This also helps beginners play correctly while reading the score.
Markers Indicating Major and Minor Third Intervals
In an ensemble, such as a wind band or orchestra, harmonies with third intervals are easily perceived as out of tune and can be improved by slightly adjusting the pitch to a pure major or minor third. The TM-70T’s meter scale includes markers indicating pure major and minor thirds, and by simply tuning so that the needle aligns with these markers*, you can play in beautiful harmony with an ensemble. This is practical not only for orchestral instruments but also for vocal music or a cappella rehearsals.
*When tuning to a pure major or minor third, the note to be adjusted depends on the music you are playing.
Sound Out Mode Generates a Reference Tone
In addition to a visual tuning meter, the TM-70T offers a "Sound Out" mode that lets you tune by ear while hearing a reference tone through the internal speaker or connected headphones. The reference tone can be selected from a three-octave range from C3 (130.81 Hz) to C6 (1046.50 Hz), supporting not only wind instruments but a wide variety of other instruments.
Sound Back Mode Generates the Reference Tone Closest to the Input Pitch
The Sound Back mode generates the reference tone closest to the pitch you play and simultaneously displays the input pitch on the meter. Since you can check the pitch both visually and aurally this way, you can tune more precisely, making it ideal for ear training. Optimizing your ear is a particularly helpful practice method for beginners.
*This function is available when either the INPUT jack or the headphone jack (or both) is connected.
A Metronome Section Useful for Practicing a Variety of Styles
Easy Tempo Setting with Three Different Options
You can set the tempo in three ways: With "Pendulum Step," you can increase or decrease the tempo value like a standard pendulum metronome; with "Full Step," you can set the tempo in single steps within the range of 30 to 252; and with "Tap Tempo," you can set the desired tempo by pressing the switch in time with the song being played.
Fifteen Rhythm Variations for Practicing a Wide Range of Music Genres
There are 15 built-in rhythms*, including time signatures from 0 to 9 as well as duplets, triplets, triplets with omitted middle note, quadruplets, and quadruplets with omitted middle note, and the tempo can be freely set within the range of 30 to 252 beats per minute. Complex rhythms like triplets or quadruplets with omitted middle notes are used in a variety of styles from classical to rock and jazz.
*When using the tuner and metronome functions simultaneously, you cannot select triplets, triplets with omitted middle note, quadruplets, or quadruplets with omitted middle note.
