Gert Bomhof focuses his School for Drumset on three essential elements of drumset playing: timing, technique, and sound. This school first familiarizes young drummers with basic techniques and rules for playing the drumset. But it’s not just about technical mastery; expression is equally emphasized.

Volume 2 introduces many new rhythms. In specially designed technique exercises, called "Technos," new rhythms and elements are developed step by step. In both volumes, fun solos and drumset duets follow new rhythm and technique elements, allowing learners to practice what they’ve learned and work on musical expression.
