Korg MA-2 Metronome - crystal clear readability and audibility!

The card-shaped electronic metronome MA-1 has been significantly revised in many areas. The resulting MA-2 is simply indispensable for everything related to rhythm accuracy. Besides an enormous tempo range and a variety of time signatures and rhythms, it offers user-friendly features such as a clearer display, a consistently audible and defined sound, a new timer mode, and much more. This metronome is available in two versions: blue with black and black with red.

Larger and Perfectly Readable Display

With a display enlarged by 30% compared to the predecessor model, the MA-2 focuses on perfect readability. The beat is indicated with a pendulum display on the screen and an acoustic signal. A triangle shows the current beat position and the timing in which the beats change.

Higher Volume and More Defined Sound

The MA-2 features a newly developed buzzer that delivers more power and can therefore assert itself even against loud instruments and high frequencies.

Meets All Rhythm Needs

The tempo can be set in three ways: in pendulum steps (Pendulum Step), like a mechanical metronome, in single steps (Full Step), and via tap tempo, meaning you simply tap a button at the desired tempo.
Additionally, the time signature can be set very flexibly – choose 0~9 beats and one of 8 rhythm types. This allows even tricky passages to be practiced cleanly.

Timer Mode

The MA-2 is not only a solid metronome but also offers a timer and sound out mode, which play an important role during practice. The required mode is selected with the MODE button. After the set time, a signal sounds and the metronome stops. The duration can be set in minute increments from 1 to 120 minutes, which is useful for warm-ups and related runs.

Sound Out Mode

In this mode, the built-in speaker emits a reference tone that can be used for tuning the instrument. The reference tones available are notes C4~B4 (one octave). The tuning frequency (note A4) can also be adjusted in the range of 410Hz~480Hz in 1Hz steps.

Newly Designed Housing with Improved Functionality

The tilt stand allows stable and well-visible placement of the device. The battery compartment cover can be slid open and closed but is part of the housing and therefore cannot be lost.

Up to 400 Hours of Continuous Operation

When using alkaline batteries, the device can run up to 400 hours continuously if needed. As soon as the battery voltage drops, a display indicator warns you of the upcoming change. This way, you can fully focus on your practice without constantly worrying about the batteries.
