Professional 8-Channel Multicore for Self-Termination!
The Pronomic MX8/0 Sub-Multicore Cable is an un-terminated 8-channel audio cable for custom wiring in studios, on stage and in installations. Eight separately constructed signal paths, OFC copper conductors, foil shielding with drain wire and a flexible, rugged PVC outer jacket provide a reliable foundation for microphone and line signals. Because the cable is intentionally supplied without XLR connectors or a cable strap, you can route, cut to length and terminate it to match your own connection concept.
Eight Signal Paths in a Single Cable
The MX8/0 bundles eight audio channels in a single outer jacket, making it an excellent choice for clear multi-channel cabling. Instead of having to run several separate microphone cables in parallel, the sub-multicore gives you a compact solution for recording studios, rehearsal rooms, stages, racks, patch systems and fixed audio installations. The individual conductors are continuously numbered, so the eight channels can be easily distinguished when routing, stripping and connecting.
OFC Copper Conductors and Shielded Construction
The signal conductors are made from OFC copper and are designed for transmitting microphone and line signals. Each channel includes two insulated signal conductors plus a foil shield with drain wire. This construction supports low-noise signal transmission and makes the cable a practical choice for demanding audio environments with numerous electrical devices and lines.
Robust, Flexible and Easy to Work With
The flexible PVC outer jacket protects the eight internal cable strands and at the same time ensures the multicore is easy to route and roll up. Textile fillers inside support mechanical stability and tensile strength. That combines a durable construction with the flexibility required for studio cabling, mobile setups and stage applications.
For Custom Connectors and Installations
The Pronomic MX8/0 is delivered completely un-terminated. There are no XLR connectors or other terminations on the cable ends. That lets you decide which plugs, sockets, stage boxes, panels or connection plates to use. The cable can be cut to length or used as a continuous run. It is therefore suitable both for DIY sub-multicore builds and for fixed audio installations and custom cable looms.
For Studio and Stage
Whether for microphone wiring in the recording studio, line connections between devices, fixed cable runs or a self-built stage multicore: with eight numbered channels, the MX8/0 provides a clean and professional basis for many analog audio applications. The black jacket also gives a discreet appearance in technical installations and on stage.
