Der Zusatz "LCE" bezieht sich auf die SM57-Modelle, die in Europa vertrieben werden. "LC" bedeutet "less cable", das heißt, dass im Lieferumfang kein Kabel enthalten ist. Das "E" kennzeichnet die europäische Version des Mikrofons, das heißt, dass im Lieferumfang ein Reduziergewinde für europäische Mikrofonstative enthalten ist.
