Bought the piano as a practice and replacement instrument for an original 12 year old piano in the living room.
Unpacked, the individual parts were easily and quickly carried upstairs. The assembly was quick and easy. (30 minutes including carrying)
The keyboard is not really distinguishable in feel from the ivory keyboard of the other instrument. When playing the keys singularly, no difference is audible (for me), but when playing a chord, the "resonance" is missing, since only the struck keys "sound", while with the old piano everything sounds a bit. It's different, but that doesn't make it better or worse, does it? The sound on the headphones is as authentic as on the speakers and leaves nothing to be desired. The clacking of the keys when playing in headphone mode is not disturbing for sleepers in the neighboring room, but of course audible in the same room.
The different timbres are completely sufficient for our use. The church organ is a popular kick to let children's and folk songs or even something modern sound completely different.
If something annoys me about the purchase, then that I have not made it earlier.

I chose this piano because I wanted to give my daughter a chance to grow up with a good authentic electric piano without having to change to a real one afterwards. Nowadays, however, the technology is so advanced that even now probably only professionals or advanced can notice a difference. I at least neither from the sound, nor from the keyboard feel. A great keyboard. Feels good. The e connectors not well thought out. Time will tell if the piano is worth the money.

I am a real beginner and find the instrument just great. The DVD and the CD are also a great help when practicing. Only with the notes I do not quite get along myself. For me it is unfortunately not self-explanatory.

Now to the delivery and the construction. I have to say that you succeeded with the surprise. In the early morning it rang at my door and I was very surprised to hear that it is the piano suppliers. This only went well because I was on sick leave and at home, if I had been healthy the delivery would have gone wrong. No one called me, even though I called and specifically asked to be notified by phone, they sent me an e-mail (very well kept, I read it once a week). With a journey of over 300km, this was a miscommunication.

Otherwise, everything was great, the assembly went very quickly and without complications, big thanks to the delivery-assembly team and thank you for the wonderful instrument!!!!

I play the violin and bought this piano as an accompanying instrument...I am more than satisfied with it.

The piano was very easy to put together. The sound is very good and my son likes to play. The piano is well made and looks good.

Originally, a used Yamaha piano was considered. Mr. Herz from the Kirstein company was very helpful and answered all my questions to my complete satisfaction!

Finally, I was able to try out a "no-name" electric piano at an acquaintance's and was very surprised at what has happened here in terms of "keyboard" over the years: a modern electric piano has nothing whatsoever to do with a keyboard from the 90s. Rather it resembles from the sound and the tactile characteristics a real piano as I had to determine. Thus an electric piano moved for me into the focus.
After some research I decided to buy the Yamaha YDP-163, because it has a 192-voice polyphony, synthetic ivory keys and real pedals (what was missing on my friend's no-name electric piano). Then, however, due to further research, the YDP-164 caught my eye - a further development in which Yamaha responded to customer wishes and also implemented them. So many little things (like the tray for the notes, the keys on the left side etc.) have been improved and also the soundchip (CFX Concert Grand / Chopin Award Winner) has been further developed. The power output has also been increased from 2x8 watts RMS to 2x20 watts RMS. GH3 (Graded Hammer 3) is also a further development to the predecessor, so I have decided directly for this new YDP-164.

Ultimately a blind purchase, never heard "live" sample or played before, but trusted my research and experience with Yamaha musical instruments, If a no-name e-piano is already quite close to a piano, this Yamaha in the price level of the upper middle class should not be able to disappoint.... Here I was not disappointed in any way!

I had played various Yamaha pianos in my youth, called a high-quality Schimmel piano my own and can say that this electric piano has a rich and brilliant sound, a tactile feeling very close to what I knew from the Schimmel, plus many setting options to try out first: pressure sensitivity (which change the sound in its purity and richness), various instruments selectable (several recordings of grand and upright pianos, harpsichord, etc.), flawless clear volume control, perfect sound quality (very good).), flawless and clear volume control, programmable functions / recording functions, connectivity to tablet, notebook and Co.

Above all, sensibly illustrated and described (in brief instructions as well as in detail in the book / here Yamaha has simply thought from A-Z and from the retrievable programming on the electric piano to the easy-to-understand illustration of these functions everything super explained). A metronome is also integrated. A great piano book with 50 classical piano pieces (which are also pre-programmed) is also included (I had previously searched in vain in this compilation), as well as a beginner's book with 2 CDs (I have not tried further ...).

In the end I am very enthusiastic and play it several hours a day - it's just great fun. If I had to choose again between a heavy, immobile used piano or this electric piano, I would go for the electric piano. Especially since it does not have to be tuned, fine tuning to 0.25Hz is also possible, just like simple transposing at the touch of a button, if you ever want to play along with a piece that is played in a different pitch (YouTube etc.).

There would be so many more positive things to report, but no one would sit down for 1 hour and read a review ;o) Everything is very high quality workmanship, Kirstein has delivered reliably and quickly in terms of shipping (announcement in advance with time window which was met, delivery by DHL Express forwarding).
Extremely well packed, very understandable instructions for assembly already printed on the outer packaging. Please make the effort and read what is written there - then nothing can go wrong with the construction. The stool and the headphones are also in really good enough quality!

I am more than happy with the purchase and can recommend this electric piano with a clear conscience!

We had long looked for a relatively inexpensive electric piano.
The choice fell on the above piano.
It should serve mainly our choir groups in our guest house.

The delivery was super-fast, the communication smooth! A big praise to this music house!

The assembly of the device was very easy.
The weighting and feel of the keys convince.
Above all, we like the simple design and the small hooks for the music books.

The USB connection and the functions of the free piano app are also ingenious!
Install the app, connect the OTC USB adapter cable (must be purchased separately) and the piano was recognized.

Instrument selection and settings are much easier to select and save via the app.
Especially with changing players, we can quickly establish the basic settings.

Playing music tracks on the smartphone via the piano is also possible.
Recording is also possible via it.

The only drawback is the cable routing of the pedals, the cable could have been 20 cm longer. So it hangs down a bit diagonally and disturbs the optics a bit.

We think it was not the last purchase in this music house!

I am a beginner and was not sure at first whether I should take the YDP 144 or the 164. I decided to go with the 164 and have no regrets as the piano feels and sounds very high quality.

I am a pure beginner, but more than thrilled with this piano.
The dynamic in the touch of the keys is incredible.
Have long wavered between the YDP-144 and the YDP-164.
But the GH3 keyboard tipped the scales and it's more than worth the extra cost over the YDP-144.

Delivery and delivery date coordination with Kirstein were uncomplicated and above all reliable.

I am very satisfied with the delivery.

The keys of the YDP 164 are somewhat lighter than those of our acoustic piano.
Practicing with headphones is fun. However, the rhythm of the clattering keys can be heard in the whole house. A circumstance that can hardly be avoided. The rattling also occurs on the acoustic piano when the keys snap back, but it is lost in the piano sound.

About the piano bench: It stinks quite a bit, especially the upholstery. Now after two weeks and good airing, the smell is halfway gone. Neither the piano nor the stool are made of real wood.

Set up and connect is easy. The sound is good, but the headphone has little good sound. Nevertheless, you can recommend the piano.

After I have only started about 4 months ago to learn on a keyboard, the jump to a digital piano was of course a very big. But learning and playing gives me a lot of joy and is just fun.

I compared a lot of models and ended up with the two models Arius ydp-144 and ydp-164 through a lot of tests, videos etc. At some point I found the for me decisive reference that the keyboard of the ydp-164 should have an advantage in the long term by the 3 sensor keyboard compared to the ydp-144.

I really have nothing to complain about the piano, it looks great, feels great. The keyboard plays great and takes learning and playing to a new level. It sounds very nice, especially with headphones it sounds just great. Only the Yamaha app Smart Pianist needs improvement in my eyes, because but every now and then the connection to the instrument is lost. A recording of your own game is possible without interruption, which was also very important to me. All in all, a full recommendation.

Have bought the piano in the set, it was delivered other headphones than specified. However, got headphones from Roland which should be a higher quality replacement. Find them from the sound really good, my only criticism would be that they are on ear headphones. The headphones that should actually be included, would have been Over Ear, which suits me personally more.

Long story short: the piano gets an absolute recommendation from me.

I stopped playing the piano 17 years ago because I moved out for college - and haven't started again since. Until now. I switched from an acoustic piano to an electric piano to be able to play via headphones at any time of the day or night. I chose the Yamaha YDP-164 because of the very good reviews on relevant portals. The setup of the piano is simple, playing is fun - even if I probably have not exhausted the full potential of the electric piano for a long time. The sound satisfies me absolutely, over headphones it is even better.

Some users complain that the touch can be heard in the apartment when playing. Well, of course it can be heard - but it is not particularly loud.

I decided to buy it from Kirstein because the set of piano, bench and headphones was a very good offer. I can not say anything about the included piano school, I have not dealt with it.

The shipping went without a hitch. I have chosen a desired date, at which the piano was delivered on time.

Very good performance. The delivery has arrived without defects with us. Unfortunately, the ordered headphones were not there. However, it was pointed out that these will be delivered later. In the current situation, I think this is justifiable. The dealer I can recommend without reservation.

With electronic pianos, the key feel is the most important thing to me. But this electric piano has a touch like a piano. The color is very clean and soft beige. The design is very user friendly with space to hang headphones. There is also a very humanized design in the place where the books are placed. The sound is perfect and strong and weak changes can be made very well. I can recommend this electric piano.

Based on the positive reviews, I decided to buy this piano and was not disappointed. Since I live in a rented apartment, an electronic piano is the perfect solution. The piano has a fantastic sound and plays almost like a piano. Finally, I can pursue my hobby again.

I haven't played a piano for about 40 years and have now treated myself to this e-piano. I am totally thrilled and am almost annoyed that I did not take this step earlier. Yamaha YDP-164 WH is the perfect choice for a mid-range digital piano. The price paid for this set (Incl. headphones and bench) is more advantageous than the price of just the piano and I recommend buying this set.
So far, very satisfied with the delivery and with the product.

Both the order and the shipping worked great. We had chosen premium shipping, i.e. the piano was brought to the apartment, built up and packaging taken away again. That went quickly and professionally.

Very nice electric piano, beautiful piano sound of course not like the real thing! It's just fun to play on there, very well suited for beginners! The keys are great! Ordering was easy, and very fast delivery, a construction video was also sent directly by mail, which can build anyone easy as pie, super packed that nothing can break or scratch! The only thing that bothers me, that the app cable is not included, so you can not immediately play with the app!

After the purchase I had problem with connecting the electric piano with the PC (Flowkey) and my Samsung S7(compatible) and the midi driver offered by Yahama.
Piano setting via Piano is very impractical and as it should be, the manual for a product purchased in Germany is in English.

Solution: Online Flowkey does not work with Firefox. Unfortunately only with Chrome,Opera. App runs.
My phone I have only been able to connect with the 4th adapter. Required cables:

At Kirstein I would have expected that I am pointed to such problems when I call the customer service or that the customer service knows such problems and helps me to a quick solution.
But have taken over three weeks to solve.

Piano sound does not come close to a real piano.
Keys sound like wooden blocks being hit on wood when played, are loud.
(I used to learn on a concert piano).

Bought the piano as a set.
Piano chair cheapest China goods - pressboard with thin layer of varnish. Came already with quirks.
Headphones tragedauer limited, because auftreteten ear pain when wearing, bad sound.

CONCLUSION: Piano with weaknesses. Miserable customer service. It would be nice to have adapters pointed out on the online site. I cannot recommend this music store. I will not buy anything there again.
