Rarely have I pulled such a playable guitar out of the box. Frets perfectly dressed, ends rounded and polished, nothing buzzes or scratches the finger. The tuners have no play but are smooth-running and stay in tune. Vibrato mounted exactly in the middle, the springs rattle along as always, so there has to be cloth in between, then it's quiet.

I like the string action a little lower, it was done quickly. The truss rod was hardly pre-tensioned, but you have to do that after a few days at room temperature anyway, no problem.

Dry sound is great, overtones and sustain at their best. It is well amplified, but I will be upgrading the PUs in the foreseeable future, then there will certainly be more to come.
Great guitar but there is a small problem...

First impression after unpacking this guitar: Hallelujah! This ageing is already very well made and I liked it straight away! The pickups are surprisingly clear, rich in detail and can also produce strat-like bells. The pots and switches work well. The neck is flawless, the frets are cleanly finished and the slightly thicker neck configuration (compared to the modern thinner "C") suits me very well in terms of playing technique. So here my personal full score.
However, one thing that doesn't work (this truth is also part of it) is the bridge! No, wrong, the bridge itself is fine, even though the tremolo block is thin (similar to that of the inexpensive "F"). The problem is the riders! The width of the tabs (11mm) does NOT match the bridge or the neck width. The manufacturer has made a mistake here and it should be corrected urgently. The incorrectly installed tabs cause the parts to be shifted (or rather squeezed) in the direction of "E" from the G string onwards. The result at the end, i.e. on the thin E string, is that it runs diagonally over the rider and just misses one of the grub screws. Poor position, poor tone (the string buzzes)! Remedy: Replace all 6 saddles with 10mm saddles (original "F" saddles from the standard vintage series) and the problem is solved. You can also replace the complete bridge with the "F" Standard Vintage with 52 string spacing (10mm tabs). However, the tremolo block must then be shortened slightly (a vice, hacksaw, file for reworking and some skill will help).
To the manufacturer (Kirstein?): Please install 10mm riders here (or have them installed), then the track/position, the sound and the look will be right!
I give this great guitar 4 out of 5 stars. Thumbs up!

Final note: Since I was (and still am) so enthusiastic about the guitar, I also bought the Tele in "Antique Burst" from this series. Here, too, I have to say HUT AB! Sounds good, sits very well in the hand (not too heavy) and looks great! I'll leave a review on the corresponding article in a few days.
great price-performance ratio

cool looking guitar, of course not a high-end guitar. But for the price a great tool if you like the used look.

With a little reworking you can get even more out of it
Nice guitar, but.....

Good, very fast shipping from Kirstein. Great! Guitar well made at first glance. Even a bone saddle. Pots and switches good according to the price. On closer inspection, the frets are very different in height so that a good setup requires a fret job from the luthier.
The costs then put the price of the guitar into perspective. Hence the return.
Good and fast service from the Kirstein team!

Very well done!

And I would also like to say a few words about the "Tele". First impression after unpacking this guitar is very good! The aging is, as with the blue "Strat", very well done! The two pickups are clear and can go from harmonic/bass to tweng (twang...). The neck is flawless, the frets are cleanly finished and the slightly thicker neck configuration (compared to the modern thinner "C") suits me very well in terms of playing technique. The pots work well and the switch works well (even if it is a bit "strict" at first). So here, as with the blue "Strat", full marks.

What I particularly like about these guitars are the necks. Compared to many other guitars in this price range (and often far beyond), the necks of these guitars are impeccably finished. The frets are cleanly dressed and there are no sharp edges. The varnish is well-dosed (not too thick) and does not stick - a clear plus point!
The neck curvature of both the "Tele" and the "Strat" was already adjusted to a usable level. On the blue "Strat" I corrected the string action slightly downwards (after changing the saddle), whereas on the "Tele" the action was already perfect out of the box. I have never had this "luck" with a guitar before (not even in much higher price ranges). Well done!

I give this great guitar 5 out of 5 stars. Thumbs up!

As always, the guitar arrived very quickly. Full marks for that.
The Tele is ultra-light and still feels valuable. It plays cleanly and sounds almost like a real one. You can clearly hear the twang that characterizes a Tele. Solid workmanship and a really pure sound. Plus the classy vintage look.
Unfortunately, the tuners are not that great and the small one goes out of tune quickly. But at this price you can easily cope with that. I'm sending it back anyway, because the pickup sounds a bit too weak for rock. But if you prefer to play without distortion, you can get a really cool Tele for the price of a meal out with 6 people. That's quite a house number.
Excellent tool
