The speaker cable is so thin that it breaks just by looking at it

Certainly not a high-end microphone cable, and even in road use, these cables should be treated rather carefully, but for the intended use (rarely moved) absolutely fine and very practical.

The cable has the best price-performance or price-length ratio of all offered online. Nevertheless, the processing is valuable, the 230V connectors are molded, the XLRs neatly soldered and screwed. The cable itself is of course quite thick, but still flexible enough and can be rolled or wound up very well. The transition from the thick cable to the split is also neatly done with a large piece of heat shrink tubing.
Only the really thin line of the XLR cable at the Spliss is unfortunately not so great, I'm a little afraid of early cable breaks. Also, you have to fix the KAbel so always extra, so that the (altogether heavy) cable does not accidentally hang only on the very thin XLR strand. But the Spliss is long enough to connect even large boxes with widely spaced power and signal inputs.
All in all, a great cable for active boxes or the like.

For me as a sound technician for small stages, it is very important not to vesinken in the cable tangle. This type of combo cable has a good flexible insulation and can be rolled and laid out well, great! The plugs are stable and have no contact problems. However, I would like to see the soldering done with a little more tin. Otherwise, super-class price / performance ...!

As a supply line for DMX or for monitors I no longer want them. Quality can be described as ok if you handle it carefully. XLR connectors are easy to exchange who wants better.

Meanwhile, I have already bought 7 pieces of these and 3 longer versions cables. After initial joy then the horror. Of 10 cables are now already 4 defective.
During assembly it was determined that either the power line or the signal line is interrupted. Despite careful handling of the cables always as a role about 40 cm rolled up and stored without stronger kinks.
Now I have made the effort to open these cables to shorten them if necessary. Unfortunately, I had to find out that the individual cables (power & signal) are pulled from the basic length into the sheath so that they tear or break extremely quickly. With all defective cables the most different lines were torn again and again. During a test it turned out that it is enough to bend a cable consciously a few times back and forth and already a line was broken again. I suspect that the cables are stretched so much when they are pulled into the sheathing that they break at a slight bend. If one is dependent on the fact that these cables also function with an appearance and one does not always drag 2 reserve cables along these cables are not to be recommended in such a way.
PS. With my more than 30 power/DMX cables for lighting control, I do not have this error by the way!

For my application (connecting active speakers) a fine cable. Power cable is thin but for an IEC connection (8a) more than sufficient.

I bought two pieces to operate active speakers with it. Unfortunately, the signal line is poorly shielded or not shielded at all. As soon as the cable is connected to the XLR socket of the speaker and under current Steht, it hums. The other end is not connected yet, so the hum can only come from the parallel running power line. If the speaker is powered with another cable and the hybrid cable is not powered, it will not hum. For DMX lighting systems this cable is certainly well suited, for audio applications unfortunately not. Will run my speakers with separate power-audio cables for now.

The product was advertised with an incorrect product description.
The XLR connectors are intended exclusively for audio applications.
This complained to customer service and only get disappointing answers.
Since I had a direct use for the cable, the offer with adapters or simply order a longer at extra cost as suitable was no help, rather a provocation.

I grabbed the soldering iron and soldered the connectors on the right way round this time.
A concession from Kirstein, would have been appropriate, but did not come.

With the conversion, the cable now fulfills its function.

The cable is perfect for small venues, it works perfect.

Absolutely ok for the price. The "signal line" is very thin and the "splitting" is a bit short. On my speaker I have to make sure that there is no tension on the XLR cable.

The order was delivered quickly and the packaging is average.
The cables were smeared with dust.
I do not know where they were stored, but for connecting material leaves much to be desired.

Has again everything worked out great and the price is really fair.
The quality of the cable is beyond reproach, the previous identical cables hold for about six years a 2x VA's per week and nem old leather case as a constantly crowded cable case so really tough real conditions :D (and only one of them I have now had to replace because ground problem in the XLR line about the middle of the 10 meter cable) ...I look forward to more problem-free hundreds VA's :)

I have already for some time various combination cables in use. The now ordered 4 are identical in construction and therefore also usable in the long term. They smell at the beginning that goes away but.

Robust cable and practical in use when it must be fast and clean.
But: If the cable is connected directly to the active tops on the tripod then the power connection unfortunately pulls strongly on the XLR cable which I can not imagine healthy in the long term. So it is in any case with my EV speakers.

the cable is a labor saver when wiring individual active speakers. it is logically not the most flexible due to the thickness, but can still be wound neatly. the xlr and schuko fittings do not make the most robust impression, but can be easily replaced if necessary (i have five of the parts in different lengths for some time in use and only had to replace two plugs). of course it would be nice to have a rubber jacket for the power cable (now it is pvc), but that will probably not be possible at the price. all in all a useful product!

I have been looking for such a multicore cable for a long time and found it at Kirstein. The connection between mixer and active box becomes child's play. Instead of an audio and power line, this cable is sufficient.

I ordered 2 as a test and found that the stage looks tidier with my 4 active monitors. No sockets lying next to the monitors, not 2 cables (power and XLR), all in all I'm so satisfied that I then ordered the other two also immediately. The Spliß could be quite 20 cm longer, but with me at the stagebox it still goes. Who goes directly into the desk, could get difficulties.
Also when cleaning up it goes fast, the cable can be wound well and with a swing one has tidied up 2 cables and no additional annoying distribution Schukodose.
I am very satisfied, sound loss I could not determine in live operation, has also hummed nothing and to the durability I can not say anything after one use.

I'm not sure what I like about them, but I do like the fact that they should be longer and the terminals are a bit short, just 10cm.

At the first use I had a slight hum on the active box, but that was not the cable, but the other adventurous signal path around a gym - next use: Everything perfect! Optimal for active speakers! I bought two cables for testing, I might get some more for the monitor speakers - the stage is immediately "tidier".
I can't criticize the too thin micro cable: that's the same with every multicore and I don't see any problems there.
Of course you can't expect miracles for the price, but the cable does what it should: Sound and supply together to the active box - exactly what I wanted.
It would be nice if the Schuko plug was not angled ...

Perfect cable! Practical cable! Simply a tidy and clean thing!

I bought this cable for my headlights and have the headlight with the Showlite Ldo 10 controlled (sound control). And when you have power and dmx in use at the same time, there is noise in the speakers. I guess that dmx is not shielded from the power cable

In search of a trouble-free connection between mixer and active speakers, I came across this Mulitcore solution. The rubber-like coating makes the sensitive inner life of microphone cable and power cord relatively sure-footed. Due to the high weight and rigidity, the cable lies cleanly on the ground and does not quickly become a tripping hazard.

At the ends the two cables are stripped approx. 30-35 cm. This is just enough for my 70cm high box, but at the mixer it is clearly too short for the connection to the power strip. Stripping the cable further will be difficult, the heat shrink tubing will have to be cut open and replaced.

Somewhat disconcerting is the, in my opinion, ridiculously thin microphone cable which comes out of the approx. 13mm thick multicore with a thickness of approx. 3mm and ends in the XLR connector. A normal microphone cable has the double strength, finally the cable must be shielded and that with such a thin bezel? I couldn't detect any noise, hum or microphonics, but the strain relief of the very stable "Pronomic" XLR connector made of metal is obviously designed for a normal thick microphone cable. The thin blade dangles loosely in the crimp connection of the plug and is thus only held in place by the soldering in the plug! This may be fine for the stage where all cables are fixed with gaffa, but for our purposes, in the restaurant or marquee on the floor, there can be unintentional pull on it. Does not go at all!

Pros and Cons:
+ very reasonable price
+ heavy non-slip sheathing
+ metal plug with locking mechanism
- ends not stripped far enough
- missing strain relief

Sorry but there you have unfortunately a good product not consistently thought through to the end.

The cables are a real relief! Especially when active monitor boxes are to be connected directly from the mixing console or stagebox.
The cables are well made and do not hum, although here power (lightning) and audio (thunder) are transmitted. But they are also quite heavy.
Our sound engineers like to use these cables, because especially on stage every superfluous cable is saved.
After several live applications, the cables are still flawless and therefore a clear purchase recommendation.
