I am a part-time DJ and have decided for a DMX radio link up to over 100m to avoid cable chaos. Have installed short XLR micro cables as lamp bridges. After about an hour of continuous operation, but always 4 lamps began to make their own light play. This was not noticed at a party (presumption cable break or DMX controller defective). For some time I have been doing light and sound for a band. There the error is of course deadly. Now I have exchanged the cables against DMX cables and could finally find the error. The DMX - circuit, was thus in order however afterwards a lamp still made problems. From 4 lamps only one, that was not normal. One of the lamps has a mains voltage problem and thus the entire DMX control messed up. I do not want to say whether with the exchange of XLR micro cable on DMX such difference makes but the defect in the lamp I would never have found so. I can say only from me that I exchange my entire DMX light control on DMX cable. MfG DJ-ANDY-MAGDEBURG
