Great monitor. I had the Behringer MS16 before, which are much heavier. But the sound can't be compared to the Eris. Very nice and good sound, great resolution. Optimal for small rooms. Top price performance.

--- Sound:
low noise for the price range (use well shielded balanced cables !).
nice spatial imaging
low bass is weak (no wonder with 0.004 cubic metres volume) but not distorted

--- Connections
balanced inputs as TRS jack (-> best use cable with angled plug)
chinch inputs: good for hi-fi applications
mini jack aux input on the front: very practical (signal is summed with the input on the back !)

--- Operation
On/Off switch on the front panel : this was a "must" for me
Volume control on the front of the cabinet
treble / bass sound adjustment +/- 6 dB
only one mains connection cable: practical for overpopulated power strips
clear and inconspicuous optics - that's how it should be for studio monitors
The speakers incl. power cord fit easily into a backpack

--- Disadvantages
bass reflex "blowpipe" unfortunately on the rear (keep distance to the wall)
low bass not available
left speaker contains both amplifiers, thus has less volume
no bi-amping (even if claimed in the Kirstein description)

Received in a very short time are perfect as monitor speakers and very clean and linear in sound. I recommend them to everyone!

The Presonus nearfield monitors meet my expectations exactly. They are compact and still offer a round, warm and full sound. Certainly there are better monitors, but you also reach accordingly deep into the wallet.
For the simple home use and for small Homerecording with e.g. Garageband it is enough all times.
The music store Kirstein offers the Presonus Eris 3.5 with foam pads for the really lowest price. Absolutely unrivalled. I can recommend this product without ifs and buts to anyone who is looking for inexpensive monitors and still does not want to do without clear sound.

I have no Verlgeiche can make, but am very satisfied with the purchase of the monitors PreSonus Eris E5 and would like to use them for listening when mixing my music.
